So here's a neurotic little secret of mine -- as "Green" as I try to be there is one thing I cannot compromise on: throwing away my toothbrush after it's been on a hotel sink. It just grosses me out to think of bringing my toothbrush with me to a hotel, having it hang out on a strange bathroom counter top attracting who-only-knows which germs, and then packing it up and bringing it back home to my own bathroom. YUCK. So I always buy a multi-pack of cheapy toothbrushes each time we take a trip and throw them all away when we pack up to leave. Not very environmental of me. And cheapy toothbrushes are not exactly gentle on the gum line. (Little secret number two...The413Mom has a bit of gum recession).
Until NOW! I just discovered the greatest travel toothbrush...and the best part? It was invented here in Massachusetts!
The Dr. Plotka's Mouthwatcher Travel Toothbrush folds up to keep the bristles clean and germ-free. The super soft bristles themselves are actually anti-microbial which makes this germaphobe very happy! And it's only $5.99! There is a whole line of dental health products offered by Mouthwatchers -- you can find them all here. Even better...a percentage of Mouthwatchers product sales benefits Smiles for Life -- a charitable organization that helps provide dental care to children.
Readers of The413Mom are invited to save 30% on their ENTIRE ORDER at mouthwatchers.com! Just use code 413mom at checkout (offer expires July 5, 2018).
There actually is a Dr. Plotka who has practiced dentistry for over 40 years (currently in Swampscott). And he invented these products in response to patient need. I love everything about this Massachusetts-based company and I'm happy to let you in on my latest secret discovery. #buylocal #gogreen #healthysmiles
